How-to Measure and Fit a Bra -
Step 1: Measure for band size:
Measuring bra band size requires a measuring tape that is held parallel with the ground, and measuring around your bra directly under your bust after exhaling all air from your lungs in order to make this measurement as small as possible. Be sure to round off all fractional measurements to the nearest whole number.
After determining your measurement, the following table will display your correct band size:
If Your Measurement is: 27 Your Band Size is: 30
Measurement: 28 Band Size: 32
Measurement: 29 Band Size: 32
Measurement: 30 Band Size: 32
Measurement: 31 Band Size: 34
Measurement: 32 Band Size: 34
Measurement: 33 Band Size: 34
Measurement: 34 Band Size: 36
Measurement: 35 Band Size: 36
Measurement: 36 Band Size: 36
Measurement: 37 Band Size: 38
Measurement: 38 Band Size: 38
For sizes over a 38, the band size should be the closest higher even number to your measurement
Step 2: Measure for cup size:
Measuring bra cup size involves standing straight, with your arms at your side, and measuring at the fullest part of your bust while making sure the measuring tape is parallel to the ground. Again, round all fractional measurements to the nearest whole number.
Step 3: Calculate your bra size:
For a final size calculation - subtract your band measurement from Step 1, from your cup measurement in Step 2. For each one inch in difference, cup will go up by one size. As a note of precaution, be aware that cup size calculation will not work accurately for measurements that are 4 inches larger than your band size.
Cup Size Conversion Chart:
If Measured Difference Is: 0" to 1/2" (1.3cm) = Your Standard Cup Size Is: AA
1/2"- 1" (2.6 cm) = A 2" (5.1 cm) = B 3" (7.6 cm) = C 4" (10.2 cm) = D 5" (12.7 cm) = DD 6" (15.2 cm) = DDD 7" (17.8 cm) = G 8" (20.3 cm) = H 9" (22.9 cm) = I 10" (25.4 cm) = J
